Help is urgently needed, as you might assume from the title – I suspect the soil is over salted, the burned grass follows where I piled the snow (and all the salt I put down for the ice last winter). I even had to pull a shrub out because it died…? I was where the weed fabric is sticking out of the mulch.

I also fed it about a month ago, may have go overboard with that too. Given the yellowed spots on the inner lawn.

So what do I do to have this lawn back to green in 2 weeks.

Artificial turf or green paint jk if it’s salted and dead , cut it out and drop new sod in , take 20-30 mins , just remember to water it a lot, I have hard cement like clay under mine and had an area that just kept dying so I just dropped new sod over the dead grass area to give it something to root into and it worked like a charm

A little bit of fert and some water. It’ll be green by the end of the week

If he can do other chores have him over today.

  9. If her boyfriend can turn that grass green, then go ahead and give him my wife’s number for me. I need his help down in Texas.

Tell her you’re too busy doing stuff with your GF that she won’t do to tend to the lawn….

  11. Walk across the street and ask your neighbour what they do (first pic on the left)

Let him come do it. You’ve got to admit she’s been nicer to get along with lately.

Lawn boyfriends are the best boyfriends. If you can afford a good one. Pool boyfriends are great to have, too.

With 2 weeks your options are lawn paint, or re-sod if you could even find some still alive this time of year.

That sounds like a sweet deal! She’s already got the boyfriend by the sounds of it, let that guy worry about the lawn!

This isnt a permanent solution. Go get some annual rye grass. Some places sell an emergency seed package that contains this. It will germinate in 7 days. Rake your bare spots, spread your seed overthe top of raked area. Cover with a thin coat of topsoil. Water everyday when it gets dry. It should fill in quickly.

This grass will not come back next year. To get more from your grass, you will need to aerate and overseed this fall. Overdue it in the newly planted areas. Hopefully dont use salt next year.

If the goal is just fast green… get a bag of perennial ryegrass seed. If you keep it wet for 2 weeks it’ll looks like mature lawn.

Annual rye is even faster but it’ll look extra dead in the spring.

Can she send him round to mine after?!

My lawns fine but the wife could do with a service.

tell her ok but she’s paying the water bill because it needs to be heavily watered daily.

Lay down plastic sheeting, wait in the window with a good scope

  22. SEKPopulist

Aerate, dethatch, and mow as high as possible. After that, weed and feed fertilizer.

It’s small enough you can fix it with a can of green spray paint.

  24. TBaggins_

Run that little sprinkler for 2 weeks. As in, never turn it off.

  25. bingboy08

Dude isn’t it 600 degrees in TO right now? Wait a month and your grass will be super green and lush

  26. Novel_Interaction489

Thr American solution.. spray paint it green.

  27. Good-Abbreviations45

Water it daily, very early morning or after 7pm, 45mins for till the 2 weeks. I’ll be green. Don’t cut it lower then 3 inches.

  28. I’d have him do some other projects while there, create a list for her.
